МУЗИЧНА ТВОРЧІСТЬ АНАТОЛІЯ ПАШКЕВИЧА ЯК СКЛАДОВА НАЦІОНАЛЬНОЇ ПІСЕННОЇ СПАДЩИНИ

Abstract
У статі розглянуто творчий доробок видатного українського композитора, диригента й хормейстера Анатолія Пашкевича (1938–2005). У хронологічній послідовності визначено основні етапи його роботи у кількох відомих мистецьких осередках (Черкаському, Волинському, Чернігівському народному хорах), проаналізовано авторські методи аранжування, гармонізації та обробки народних пісень. The article reviews the creative work of the outstanding Ukrainian composer, conductor and choirmaster Anatolij Pashkevich (1938–2005). The song heritage of the musician and, at the same time, the lack of the study of his creativity is of profound interest and it leads to the relevance of the study on this topic. The aim of this article is the analysis of A. Pashkevich's creativity as a composer and a chorus master; the author of the article determines the peculiarities of A. Pashkevich's methods of arranging, harmonizing and processing folk songs. The methodology of the article involves the use of the following culturological methods: general-historical (method of selection and analysis of material), analytical (logical systematization of facts), biographical (analysis of the way of life). The scientific novelty of the article is to identify the peculiarities of Anatolij Pashkevich's musical creativity, which is an important part of the national song heritage. In the article we determine, in the chronological sequence, the main stages of the conductor's work in several well-known artistic centres (Cherkasy, Volyn, Chernihiv folk choirs) and analyse the author's methods of arranging, harmonizing and processing folk songs. It is proved that the musician not only adapted the songs for choral ensembles, but also sought a new sound palette that otherwise revealed folk musical composition. A separate page in the creative biography of the composer is linked with the works written on the words of such famous domestic poets as Nikolay Negro, Vasyl Symonenko, and Dmitry Lutsenko. We found out that besides well-known works with full or partial authorship, A. Pashkevich had about two dozen songs; and he did not try to declare the participation in the production of these works, they were perceived as folk ones, which was often announced during concerts or recordings. We established that the maturity of A. Pashkevich's talent as a composer, in addition to small musical forms, manifested itself in the folk opera “The Prodigal Son” and the oratorio “Ashes Cry” on the literary text of Alexander Bogachyuk. His choruses were not numerical, but in intensity and dynamism, they did not yield much to the people's chapels, because the conductor often used an individual approach to work and worked with each singer separately.
