Nadużywanie alkoholu a bezdomność

Abstract
Rozpoznawanie mechanizmów wiążących nadmierne picie alkoholu z bezdomnością było celem badań jakościowych, którymi objęto 36-ciu bezdomnych mężczyzn rezydujących na terenie Warszawy w schroniskach, noclegowniach i w kanałach ciepłowniczych. Drogą wywiadów pogłębionych określano czynniki uruchomiające proces schodzenia w bezdomność i utrwalające ten stan. Proces schodzenia w bezdomność warunkowany jest splotem wielu czynników, takich jak zerwaniem więzi z bliską osobą, pobytem w więzieniu, rodzajem wykonywanej pracy czy wychowaniem w placówce opiekuńczo-wychowawczej. Destrukcyjny wzór picia nasilał działanie tych czynników. W okresie bezdomności nie rozwiązany problem alkoholowy blokuje szansę wyjścia z tego stanu.
