Nanoreactor Effect in Bifunctional Cation Exchangers Based on Cis-Metacyclophanoctol
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN CHEMISTRY - Year 2014, Vol 7, Issue 2
Abstract
The nanoreactor effect consisting in sufficiently high rate increase of a cation diffusion flux in bifunctional cation exchangers based on cis-metacyclophanoctol has been found. The solutions of the fundamental differential equation of cation diffusion in bifunctional cation exchangers containing sulfonic acid and phenol ionogenic groups by means of the spherical layer and plane sheet models are presented for a variety of initial and boundary conditions with constant diffu-sion coefficient.

EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT SURFACTANTS ON INDOMETHACIN MICROSPHERES FORMULATIONS
Microencapsulation by the solvent evaporation technique was used to formulate Indomethacin-loaded poly(DL-lactide-co-caprolactone) microspheres with three different surfactants: Tween 80, Span 80, and Polyvinyl alcohol....
Synthesis and physico-chemical studies of a novel noncentrosymmetric heptacoordinated cadmium(II) compound containing a tripodal amine, CdCl2[N(C2H6N)3]2
A new noncentrosymmetric Cd(II) complex with thetripodal amine tris(2-aminoethyl)amine, CdCl2[N(C2H6N)3]2, has been prepared and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, solid state NMR and IR spectroscopies. I...
SYNTHESIS OF ACTIVATED CARBONS FROM PUTRESCIBLE SOLID WASTE FOR TREATING TEXTILE DYE EFFLUENT
In the present study an attempt has been made to compare the adsorption efficiency of activated carbons (PVW and PFW) prepared from putrescible solid waste. Methylene blue dye (MB) was selected as the model compound. Act...
IMPACT OF AGGRESSIVE CHEMICAL ENVIRONMENT AND CORROSION ON DURABILITY CHARACTERISTICS OF FIBRE REINFORCED CONCRETE
Durability characteristics of concrete play an imperative role in the performance of the buildings. Concrete despite its versatility is known to have several limitations. It is weak in te...
Novel phthalonitrile derivatives as potential compounds for extraction and complexation of metal cations
The synthesis and the binding properties of novel phthalonitrile derivatives 1-3 towards metal cations have been described in this paper. The complexation and extraction of some transition and heavy metal cations have be...
