NARCISSUS ARCHETYPE IN «PHILOSOPHICAL SMILE» OF GRYGORIY SKOVORODA
Journal Title: Δόξα / Докса. Збірник наукових праць з філософії та філології - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue
Abstract
It is analyzed in the article the philosophical problem of person’s comprehension and understanding based on G. Skovoroda’s view. The idea of holistic world and holistic person is achieving by Skovoroda through material and ideal dualism. One of the highest positions in philosopher’s doctrine is held by the cultural values’ issue. A human being was perceived by thinker like cultural subject, like holder of good and evil. In his work, Skovoroda indicated a problem of moral values’ formation, saw the core of person’s ethical principles in his own “will” and “heart”. Heart is realized by thinker as a center of human being’s spirituality, as a basement of vital activity and an existence concept. Analyzing a problem of human being, G. Skovoroda distinguishes two sides of his existence. From one side, he considers a human in the context of being structure, proclaims him as one of the universes, as a microcosm. However, taking a person as a microcosm, philosopher reaches to necessity to consider relations between microcosm and macroworld. Skovoroda concludes this as a mystical contact. Therefore, this connection is taken like a revelation of God to person or like a human’s aspiration to God in journey to self-discovery.
