НАРОДНОПІСЕННА ТРАДИЦІЯ БУКОВИНИ У ТВОРЧОСТІ МАРІЇ МИКОЛАЙЧУК

Abstract
Extremely interesting region of Ukraine - Bukovina impresses with its unique song heritage. It is valuable that an ancient folk song is still present among the rural population, and also actively develops in contemporary art. The article defines local peculiarities of the traditional folk-song performance and the specific features of the regional vocal-timbre tradition on the basis of the rare Osip Rosdolsky’ records and the generalization of studies about of Bukovyna folk song`s specifics. The article is devoted to Maria Mykolaychuk - one of the most vivid contemporary singers of the folk direction, namely to the features of reproduction and development of Bukovina`s folk singing tradition in her solo activity. Her repertoire consists predominantly of little-known Bukovynian songs, a large number of which was collected by the singer and her husband Ivan Mykolaychuk. Maria`s artistic and aesthetic orientation towards tradition, reproduction of the most important components of the folklore context are the main positions in the formation of a modern performing version of the ancient folk song. She directs creative inspiration not on formal copying, but on a holistic reproduction of the song`s sense as a personal revelation and immersion in the depths of folk wisdom. Many of her folk song`s interpretations are the examples of artistically perfect, almost ideal sound. The singer is an embodiment of inspired work, high demands on her creativity, femininity, heartfelt kindness, boundless love, as well as a vivid and inspirational example of patriotism, love for her native land, genus and people.
