Journal Title: Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal - Year 2023, Vol 15, Issue 6

Abstract

This research study delved into the narratives of Reading Remediation Teachers for the Learning Recovery of Schools of DepEd, Schools Division of Sipalay City. The research utilized the Qualitative Research Design using the Personal Experience Narratives Approach. Five (5) teachers from five (5) elementary schools in the Schools Division of Sipalay were randomly selected based on the pre-identified criteria set by the research. Adopting the six-part model in analyzing the structure of the narratives-; Abstract, Orientation, Complicating Action, Result, Evaluation, and Coda, the narratives of the five respondents were thoroughly analyzed and deduced into three general codes: (a) The Heart of a Teacher, (b) Flexibility and Collaboration in Action, and (c) Significant Learnings and Insights from the Personal Experiences. Thus it was concluded that the implementation of the Learning Recovery and Continuity Plan of the five schools has survived because of the leadership of the school heads, teachers' commitment, parents' and community's active support. In addition, collaboration between and among the school, community, and stakeholders plays a vital role in hurdling emerging future challenges.
