An effect of heat insulation parameters on thermal losses of water-cooled roofs for secondary steelmaking electric arc furnaces
Journal Title: Frattura ed Integrità Strutturale - Year 2016, Vol 10, Issue 37
Abstract
The aim of this work is research in the insulation parameters effect on the thermal losses of watercooled roofs for secondary steelmaking electric arc furnaces. An analytical method has been used for the investigation in heat transfer conditions in the working area. The results of the research can be used to choose optimal cooling parameters and select a suitable kind of insulation for water-cooled surfaces.

Investigation on parametric representation of proportional and nonproportional multiaxial fatigue responses
This study aims to investigate fatigue damage resulting from multiaxial fatigue, proportional and/or nonproportional, loading by analyzing stresses and strains over a full domain around a representative stress-str...
Meso-mechanics simulation analysis of microwave-assisted mineral liberation
Microwave-assisted crushing and grinding can improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption. This paper takes rock grains with galena and calcite as the research object to establish a two-dimensional comput...
A critical review of fracture mechanics as a tool for multiaxial fatigue life prediction of plastics1
Plastics belong to the most complex and probably least understood engineering materials of today. Combining the best aspects of design, mechanical properties and manufacturing, the structural integrity of plastic...
Subsurface metals fatigue cracking without and with crack tip
Very-High-Cycle-Fatigue regime for metals was considered and mechanisms of the subsurface crack origination were introduced. In many metals first step of crack origination takes place with specific area formation b...
Fracture toughness of TiAl-Cr-Nb-Mo alloys produced via centrifugal casting
Fracture toughness of a TiAl base intermetallic alloy has been investigated at room temperature. The Ti-48Al-2.5Cr-0.5Nb-2Mo (at. %) alloy produced via centrifugal casting exhibits fine nearly lamellar microstructu...
