AWARENESS ABOUT WAYS OF HEPATITIS TRANSMISSION AMONG PEOPLE OF FAISALABAD, PAKISTAN

Abstract
Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver caused by different viruses. Objective of the present study wasto investigate the extent of knowledge of the people of Faisalabad, Pakistan about the ways oftransmission of Hepatitis. A questionnaire was developed and given to 1000 individuals from thedifferent area of Faisalabad, Pakistan to participate in the study but 696 answered thequestionnaire. Less number of people of District Faisalabad, Pakistan were aware about the ways oftransmission of Hepatitis except the way through sharing of unsterilised instruments (86.78%).
