COMPARATIVE DIVERSITY PROFILES OF GASTRO INTESTINAL MICRO FLORA OF NORMAL AND SICK “OREOCHROMIS MOSSAMBICUS” (PETERS)
Journal Title: Asian J of Pharm Sci & Tech - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
ABSTRACT Oreochromis mossambicus (Peters) is a commercially important edible fish. It can be used to augment food protein and study of gut of “Oreochromis mossambicus”. The present study aims at the investigation of the comparative diversity profile of gastro intestinal micro flora of the normal and sick “Oreochromis mossambicus” in Gundar dam for the three months of January to March 2009. The predominant micro organisms isolated from the gastro intestinal regions are Escherichia Coli, Vibrio sp and Pseudomonas fluoresencens and some unidentified organisms were observed during the study period. In the present study, the most common species found in the gastro intestinal of O. mossambicus belongs to Gram negative bacterial species. The presence of various numerous organisms in the gut of O. mossambicus which potentially pathogenic to humans. Key words: Oreochromis mossambicus, gastro intestinal micro flora, Escherichia Coli, Vibrio sp, Pseudomonas fluoresencens.
IN SILICO DESIGN AND MOLECULAR DOCKING STUDIES OF NOVEL PYRIDYL TRIAZOLE DERIVATIVES AS COX-2 INHIBITORS
ABSTRACT Molecular docking is used to predict and analyze interactions between protein receptors and ligands. In the present investigation novel substituted pyridyl triazoles are incorporated into benzothiazole a...

FIVE-PARAMETER TYPE I GENERALIZED LOGISTIC DISTRIBUTION
ABSTRACT In this paper, we consider further generalization of the four-parameter type I generalized logistic distributions in Olapade (2004) to a five-parameter type I generalized logistic distribution. Some theo...
STUDIES ON THE COMBINED EFFECT OF VERMICOMPOST AND VERMIWASH PREPARED FROM ORGANIC WASTES BY EARTHWORMS ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD PARAMETERS OF DOLICHOUS LAB LAB.
ABSTRACT Vermicomposting is the bio-conversion of organic waste into bio-fertilizers using earthworms. Vermiwash acts as pesticide, disease curative and crop tonic and increase the yield of crops in multiples. Ve...
LOCALLY AVAILABLE SOIL AMENDMENTS AS A PARTIAL SUBSTITUTE FOR INORGANIC FERTILIZERS ON SOIL AND GROUND WATER QUALITIES
ABSTRACT Sandy soils are more susceptible to leaching with high application rates of manure and making the ground water potentially hazardous. A leaching column experiment was carried out to quantify the nitrate...
