DENTAL – THERAPEUTIC ATTITUDE IN CHILDREN WITH ENDOCRINE PATHOLOGIES

Abstract
Endocrine pathologies such as: diabetes, thyroid disease, hypothalamic-pituitary disorders, gonadal pathology are also manifested by disturbances in the oral cavity. The most frequently encountered disorders of the oral cavity in children with diabetes are: gingivitis, marginal periodontitis, dental caries,lesions of the oral mucosa, oral candidiasis. Other endocrinopathies are accompanied by disturbances in teeth eruption, formation of dental hard tissues, disorders of tongue, gums, oral mucosa and salivary glands. Knowing the particularities of clinical evolution of most common endocrine pathologies in children, such as diabetes and thyroid pathology, will help the dentist to detect the early stages of pathologies, to choose the most reasonable treatment method and, also, to avoid the possible complications during dental manipulations.
