EPIDEMIOLOGICAL AND MEDICAL-SOCIAL ASPECTS OF THE DENTAL-MAXILLARY ANOMALIES

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to assess the analysis of frequency of the sagittal dental maxillary anomalies in the Republic of Moldova and abroad. The epidemiological study of the dental-maxillary anomalies is one of the objectives of the national orthodontia, approached in this study. The objects of the paper consists in assessing and revealing the frequency and incidence of the sagittal malocclusions depending on certain criteria of age, sex, territorial region, socio-economic environment. In conclusion, to render correct orthodontic assistance, it is necessary to know the growing patterns of the population, the direction of development offered by the population researches, the implementation of the preventive programs, which are first range objectives of the contemporary orthodontics.
