EVALUATION OF EFFECTIVENESS OF METHODS FOR PREVENTING DENTAL CARIES IN CHILDREN

Abstract
Purpose of work: evaluation of effectiveness of methods for preventing dental caries in children. Material and methods. The issue presents the results of using topical fluoride compounds in 157 children of 7 years during 3 years. The control group of patients included 152 children at the same age. All children were subject to regular cleaning of the oral cavity. The effectiveness of cariopreventive measures was assessed by estimating the DMFT indice and determination of the test of enamel resistance to action of acids. Results. After 3 years we have seen reduction of caries indices in children from groups 1-7, compared with the reference group. Conclusion: we found high efficiency in BioR and Gluftored application with simultaneous irradiation with laser light of tooth surfaces in preventing dental caries in children.
