FUZZY MODEL FOR SWOT-ANALYSIS OF PHARMACEUTICAL ENTERPRISE’S FUNCTIONING

Abstract
Application of the approach based on fuzzy sets for SWOT-analysis of industrial commercial activity of pharmaceutical enterprises as well as their state and prospects in the competitive market environment have been described. The key success factors of pharmaceutical enterprises functioning in Ukraine along with their potential and possible threats estimation have been defined. The techniques of practical fuzzy modeling and corresponding computer model in Fuzicalc have been constructed. This software product makes it possible to ensure mathematical and logical operations with fuzzy set and can be applied for numerical calculations. In this article the example of calculations in fuzzy logic setting for a pharmaceutical company has been provided. The results of studies, which have been conducted and presented in this paper, bring us the following conclusion.Formulation and solution of the described SWOT-analysis problem in a fuzzy logic setting have been presented, validated and implemented by means of specialized software. It allows to receive adequate and informative simulation results reflecting the real state of the pharmaceutical company and its potential. Moreover, the proposed approach is quite general in nature. It can be successfully applied for the analysis of both enterprises and pharmaceutical profile organizations functioning.The interpretation of modeling results and generalized estimation reception as for status and prospects of pharmaceutical enterprises and companies functioning has been offered. The presented approach should be subjected to further development concerning the application of fuzzy set theory for conducting commercial activity in Ukrainian pharmaceutical market.
