LA MORPHOLOGIE DES CONES PYROCLASTIQUES DE LA VALLEE MOYENNE DE LA RIVIERE JABALON, DE LA REGION VOLCANIQUE DU CAMPO DE CALATRAVA (ESPAGNE)
Journal Title: The Annals of Valahia University of Târgoviste, Geographical Series - Year 2008, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper, we have studied the morphology and genesis of some cinder cones of the Campo de Calatrava Volcanic Region, applying morphometric analysis. This study allows us to characterize these volcanoes and to determine patterns due to their morphology and morphometry and to identify the genetic differences among them (polygenetic and monogenetic). These analyses have been applied for the first time in Spain by Dóniz (2004) in Tenerife Island, and by Becerra (2007) in Campo de Calatrava, considering previous authors such as Porter (1972), Settle (1979) and Wood (1980).
