PARTICULARITIES TREATMENT OF ACUTE ODONTOGENIC PERIOSTITIS

Abstract
The best results of treatment of patients with odontogenic periostitis are provided by complex therapy, which involves the combination of surgery with medication and physical agents. Surgical treatment involves removal purulent exudate collection and extraction of the tooth concerned if it lost his functional value or endodontic treatment not cope. The medical treatment includes: antibiotics, antimycotics, analgesics, antihistamines, vitamins associated with physiotherapy leads to shortening the healing process. However, treatment errors and low reactivity of the body can lead to various complications such as phlegmons, osteomyelitis, sinusitis, mediastinitis, thrombophlebitis, sepsis, and sometimes death.
