Journal Title: Asian J of Pharm Sci & Tech - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
ABSTRACT The present study is in the direction to estimate the physio- chemical properties of soil before and after cultivation of tomato .the study was carried in Chhattisgarh plains with special reference to Bilaspur district. Five Blocks ie Bilha, Seepat, Beltara, Lormi and Marwahi were selected randomly and from each block four villages were selected on random basis. 30 Soil samples before and after cultivation of the tomato were taken randomly from the field lands of these villages. A controlled area was mentioned in each village field land were the fertilizers were not applied. From this controlled field land the soil samples were taken after the cultivation of the crop and analysed by the same methods and methodology as done before the cultivation of the crop. After the physio-chemical analysis of the soil. After the physio-chemical analysis of the soil samples before and after Cultivation of tomato we find that there was a significant effect on the Soil pH, Bulk Density, Soil Texture, Electric conductivity, Available Nitrogen, Available Phosphorus, Available Potassium and percentage of Organic Carbon. Key words: Soil texture, Bulk Density, Soil pH, NPK.
