Abstract
Artykuł zawiera omówienie istoty przedsiębiorczości akademickiej w ujęciu anglosaskim i europejskim oraz koncepcje funkcjonowania firm działających na pograniczu nauki i gospodarki. Omówione zostały zasady tworzenia, cele działalności oraz strategie realizowane przez małe firmy technologiczne. Przeprowadzona została także ocena regionalnego systemu wspierania przedsiębiorczości akademickiej w województwie małopolskim w świetle badań nad barierami jej rozwoju.
