Test Bench for Semi-Active Magnetorheological Fluid Damper Using a Modified Charpy Pendulum
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2011, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents an experimental stand for testing a semi-active damper with magnetorheological fluid (MRF.) For reduce costs and time of execution, the solution has been found is to alter a Charpy pendulum. Are detailed the changes and the modifications made to ensure the testing of the magnetorheological fluid dampers with different size, for a large range of forces [2]. Two models were made for pendulum-damper system and the results were interpreted.

About the Neutral Axis Distortion due to Cracks and its Influence upon the Beams Natural Frequencies
In this paper the distortion of the neutral axis of cantilever beams due to damage is analyzed via numerical simulations. Both static and dynamic behaviors are considered, aiming to prove that the damage affects all bend...
Seismic Isolators - Double Sliding Bearings
The seismic protection of buildings by seismic isolation is continuously improving since many years. Many new materials and different shapes are contributing to the development of recent high performance devices. As seis...

Rheological Models of the Materials for the Road System in the Compaction Process
This paper presents a simplified theory of compaction based on idealized rheological models that allow to make preliminary determinations of characteristic parameters which in turn are used to determine other parameters[...
MODERN METHODS FOR NOISE CONTROL
Noise can be defined as unwanted sound. There are many cases and applications that reducing noise level is of great importance. Loss of hearing is only one of the effects of continuous exposure to excessive noise levels....
