TESTOESTERONE DEFICIENCY IN UNDER 40 YEARS PATIENTS OF DIABETES MELLITUS

Journal Title: Asian J of Pharm Sci & Tech - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 4

Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin (a hormone that regulates blood sugar) or alternatively, when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. The overall risk of dying among people with diabetes is at least double the risk of their peers without diabetes. Elevated blood sugar is a common effect of uncontrolled diabetes, and over time can damage the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves in type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin, and daily insulin injections are required. Type 2 diabetes elevated blood glucose levels may present with no symptoms or have mild glucosuria and/or ketosis with or without weight loss. Food intake influences the amount of insulin required to meet blood glucose target goals. Dietary carbohydrate influences postprandial blood glucose levels the most and is the major determinant of meal-related insulin requirement. The intermediate- or longer-acting insulin usually covers the effects of protein and fat. The Diabetes Prevention Program conclusively showed that people can prevent the development of type 2 diabetes by making changes in food intake and increasing physical activity. Key words: Insulin , Diabetes, Glucosuria etc.,
