The new shape of prudential and remedial procedures – conclusions de lege lata

Abstract
In recent years, as a result of the deep crisis of the global economy, there was economic slowdown in Poland, which resulted in the deterioration of public finances. Since that, the Polish legislator increased the activity. Unfortunately, most of actions was focused on modifications of the national fiscal rules, in order to relieve the restrictions resulting from them. Their manifestation is the change of prudential and remedial procedures on 1 January 2013. It reduced the effectiveness of these procedures and increased the risk of exceeding the public debt level of 60% of GDP, which would be tantamount to violation of the Constitution.
