THE RADIOLOGICAL METHODS SIGNIFICANCE IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF COMPLEX ZYGOMATIC FRACTURE

Abstract
The rehabilitation of patients with facial skeletal trauma is one of the primary problems in traumatology. The anatomical structures involved in the zygomatic complex fractures, express a diverse semiology that complicates the opportune diagnosis of fracture. Imaging examination is complimentary investigation primarily used in fractures and contributes significantly to the elucidation of the problems in case of the fractures or for differential diagnosis. In the clinical and radiological examination in case of the zygomatic complex fractures of facial bones is indicated semi-axial radiography of the facial bones and/or three-dimensional computer tomography. The study emphasize a high informativitate index of the 3D CT imaging method in case of fractured zygomatic complex with precision of 87% comparative with X ray examination in semi-axial incidence.
