THE TREATMENT OF MANDIBULAR FRACTURES

Abstract
The lecture features the particularities of treatment methods of mandibular fractures, it is structured as scheduled for publication and is dedicated to: dentists, oral-maxillo-facial surgeons, general surgeons, traumatologists, students and residents. The necessity of this lecture is given by the lack of teaching literature on mandibular fractures in Romanian language from the contemporary traumatology point of view and the visions of OMF Surgery Department. In 19.19% cases of patients with mandibular fractures surgical treatment by different methods of osteosynthesis was applied. Mandibular fractures with displacement were registered in 71.21% of cases and 47.47% of cases were registered with double fractures. 31.81% of mandibular fractures are associated.
