Transformări în sistemul de învăţământ superior din România după 1990

Abstract
Învăţământul reprezintă un factor esenţial în dezvoltarea oricărei ţări. Sistemul de învăţământ superior din România a cunoscut transformări importante în ultimii 23 de ani. În articol se prezintă evoluţia unor indicatori ce caracterizează învăţământul superior din România. Am asistat la o creştere importantă a numărului de studenţi, creştere necorelată cu numărul de cadre didactice şi cu dezvoltarea bazei materiale. Dezvoltarea extensivă nu se poate susţine pe termen lung, ceea ce s-a şi dovedit în ultimii trei ani când numărul studenţilor a început să scadă. Datele prezentate provin de la INS, UNESCO Institute for Statistics şi EUROSTAT. Prelucrările au fost efectuate folosind metode econometrice: testul ADF şi testul Engle Granger pentru detectarea cauzalităţii.
