UTILIZAREA CAPELOR OCLUZALE ÎN TRATAMENTUL DISFUNCȚIILOR ARTICULAȚIEI TEMPORO-MANDIBULARE

Abstract
Obiectivul acestui articol este de a atenționa că majoritatea dereglărilor ATM se pot stabiliza în mod corespunzător cu utilizarea unor procedee și tehnici necomplicate îndreptatea spre reglarea ocluziei, dar care necesită o cunoaștere minuțioasă a anatomiei și fiziopatologiei ATM. Pentru găsirea celor mai eficiente soluții în tratamentul disfuncțiilor temporo-mandibulare, s-a propus o gamă bogată de intervenții terapeutice actuale, începînd de la terapia inițială a disfuncțiilor temporo-mandibulare în fază timpurie, pînă la aplicarea diferitor dispozitive/„orteze” (cape, atele), fiecare fiind eficiente în proporții diferite și independent de la caz la caz. Toate, însă, cu scopul de a obține o stabilitate ocluzală și ameliorare a simptomelor articulare. Această listă amplă, este, în același timp, o dovadă pentru etiologia multifactorială a disfuncțiilor temporo-mandibulare.
