WEATHERING IN THE ARGEŞ SUBCARPATHIAN HILLS AND PROTECTION AGAINST EROSION
Journal Title: The Annals of Valahia University of Târgoviste, Geographical Series - Year 2004, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
Investigations focussed on the morpholithological conditions, soil erodability and land use practices. The study of sheet erosion performed on the overland flow parcels at Bilceşti has revealed the existence of a relationship between rain aggresiveness and soil loss. Determinations of liquid flow and erosion values in the small catchment basins of the Argeş and the Vâlsan Hills has enabled quantifying specific erosion with 10% assurance. The paper presents anti-erosion measures and managements to reduce soil losses and protect the slopes of the Argeş Subcarpathian Hills.
