Neuropsychological Development of Children of First Three Years of Life with Transient Congenital Hypothyroidism

Abstract

The estimation of the level of neuropsychological development has been carried out in 80 children who had laboratory signs of neonatal hypothyroidism (TSH level in blood exceed 20 mIU/L). Studies have shown that in structure of mental disorders in children with congenital transient hypothyroidism aged one to three years the dominating position belonged to such syndromes as hyper- and hypoexcitability as well as psychomotor and psychoverbal delay.
