New approaches in latent TB infection detection and management

Abstract

The review of WHO approaches related to latent TB infection (LTI) is presented. Prospective of different methods of LTI testing in Ukraine given significant TB burden and insufficient domestic resources is discussed. Given that data on LTI epidemiology in Ukraine we obtained in the 1980s, the need in new researches of LTI prevalence among different risk and age groups is emphasized.
