Abstract
In the article, the development of Murom’s tourism industry as a whole, and different types of tourism in particular, is analysed. Besides, modern approaches to tourism classification are examined, the author’s concept is offered, and some types of tourism (existing ones in the middle-sized historic city under investigation and new ones for it) are defined by the author.
