Abstract
The article deals with the problems of modern methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Analysing the state of teaching Russian as a foreign language on the modern stage the author comes to the conclusion that the pure communicative methods do not meet the modern demands of studying Russian in the changed conditions of Europe. As the aim of teaching Russian as a foreign language he suggests cross culture competence for the achievement of mutual understanding in cross culture dialogue. This aim will be realised in cross culture teaching Russian as a foreign language. Teaching Russian as a second or third language and for the children of compatriots abroad invokes new problems with methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language. He works out new modern technology of cross cultural education by means of Russian as a second or third language, and a special method of teaching Russian as a home and family-circle language in the framework of Russian culture. The author works out a theory of a modern cross cultural manual and multimedia aids in Russian as a second or third language, and a cross cultural manual of Russian as a home and family-circle language for the children of compatriots abroad. Teacher-training of «Russian as a home and family-circle language» is suggested.
