Nomogram of clinical features of endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer
Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 9
Abstract
Objective To construct a nomogram for differential diagnosis of endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC). Methods A total of 90 patients diagnosed with ovarian clear cell carcinoma and ovarian endometrioid carcinoma in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2005 to December 2021 were selected and divided into EAOC group (23 cases) and non-EAOC group (67 cases). The clinical and pathological characteristics of the two groups were compared. Results Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that menopause, combination with benign uterine lesions, dysmenorrhea or irregular bleeding and ROMA index were significantly correlated with EAOC. Nomogram showed high performance of the combined index in diagnosing EAOC (AUC = 0. 898, P < 0. 05), and the clinical efficacy of the model was better measured by decision curve analysis. Conclusion EAOC patients have early stages, better prognosis, and unique clinical manifestations. It is necessary to improve the awareness of EAOC identification and give clinical guidance according to its characteristics.
