Nonunion scaphoid with missed scapho-lunate dissociation
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF MEDICAL COLLEGE CHANDIGARH - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 2
Abstract
Fractures of the scaphoid are the commonly seen injuries but complex injuries of the wrist like scapho-lunate dissociation are relatively rare. We present a case of non-union fracture scaphoid associated with complete scapholunate dissociation. The latter was missed during the preoperative planning. However, intra-operative critical observation helped us in diagnosing and managing the injury during the same surgery.
