Novalis o sztuce rozumienia historii (Sinn für Geschichte)

Abstract
Artykuł stanowi próbę rekonstrukcji specyfiki rozumienia historii w pismach Friedricha von Hardenberga (Novalisa), reprezentanta wczesnego romantyzmu niemieckiego. Wykazuje ważność inspiracji transcendentalizmu J. G. Fichtego, który zainicjował rewolucję moralną w Niemczech, mającą przyczynić się do przekształcenia historii naturalnej (Naturgeschichte) w metodycznie realizowaną historię kultury (Bildungsgeschichte). W polemice ze świadomością filisterską, skażoną dogmatycznym empiryzmem, co uwidoczniło się w Rewolucji Francuskiej, Novalis obwieszcza początek nowego świata, który będzie realizował jedność rozumu teoretycznego i praktycznego w dojrzałej wspólnocie niepowtarzalnych indywidualności.
