NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE DESIGN OF EXTRUSION PROCESS OF POLYMERIC MINI-TUBES
Journal Title: Applied Computer Science - Year 2018, Vol 14, Issue 3
Abstract
In this paper we represent a study reporting the numerical simulation of small-diameter pipes extrusion process. Polypropylene and low density polyethylene were chosen as plastics and a selected transverse head as a tool in the simulations. The aim of the study is to examine the distribution of temperature in the individual sections of the bagasse and tools, in order to optimize the parameters and process flow extrusion and validate the im-plementation tools, by simulating the flow of plastic by the head.

IDENTIFICATION OF A BACKLASH ZONE IN AN ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEM CONTAINING CHANGES OF A MASS INERTIA MOMENT BASED ON A WAVELET–NEURAL METHOD
In this article a new method of identification of a backlash zone width in a structure of an electromechanical system has been presented. The results of many simulations in a tested model of a complex electromechanical s...
APPLICATION OF DATA MINING TECHNIQUES TO FIND RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE DISHES OFFERED BY A RESTAURANT FOR THE ELABORATION OF COMBOS BASED ON THE PREFERENCES OF THE DINERS
Currently, blended food has been a common menu item in fast food restau-rants. The sales of the fast-food industry grow thanks to several sales strate-gies, including the “combos”, so, specialty, regional, family and buf...
NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE DRAG COEFFICIENT OF A MOTORCYCLE HELMET
The paper discusses a numerical investigation, using a CFD tool, ANSYS FLUENT, of drag acting on a motorcycle helmet. The simulations were performed on a model of a helmet downloaded from a free CAD model library. A soli...
NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF SANDWICH STRUCTURES UNDER LATERAL COMPRESSION
The current paper analyzes the effect of the cross-section on the energy absorption capabilities of sandwich structures under compressive loads. For this purpose, several cross-section including triangular, square, hexag...
IDENTIFICATION OF THE MASS INERTIA MOMENT IN AN ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEM BASED ON WAVELET–NEURAL METHOD
This paper presents the results of testing of a complex electromechanical system model. These results have been obtained for accepted in simu-lations the method of identifying an inertia moment of reduced masses on shaft...
