О. DUKHNOVYCH IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN PEDAGOGY

Abstract
The influence and significance of the contribution of the prominent enlightener O. Dukhnovych to Ukrainian pedagogy are considered in the article. The contribution of O. Dukhnovych to the pedagogy of humanism, to ethnopedagogy and spiritual pedagogy, is analyzed. It is proved that the scientist developed a paradigm of spiritual and moral education of youth. On the basis of comparative analysis of modern domestic concepts and pedagogical ideas of O. Dukhnovych, it is concluded that they have certain parallels and common tendencies. It is determined that a similar direction of thought and similar methods of argumentation of scholars of different epochs were based on the ideological principles of the Christian doctrine of our people and on the cordocentrism as the basis of Ukrainian spirituality
