Journal Title: Wiek XIX. Rocznik Towarzystwa Literackiego im. Adama Mickiewicza - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
The article constitutes a brief presentation of the critical edition of The Complete Works of Boleslaw Prus. The project’s implementation has been ongoing since 2012 under the auspices of Adam Mickiewicz Literary Society, under a grant from the National Programme for the Development of Humanities. It brings together the research community of Polish literature of the second half of the nineteenth century. The article indicates a need to develop a new coverage of Prus’ legacy. Its assumptions have been defined along with scientific and popularization objectives linked to the distribution of knowledge about Polish literature. Undertaken methods and principles have been presented regarding the editorial development of The Complete Works of Prus (printed and hitherto unpublished works, such as creative notes).
