O uso da informação nos museus

Abstract

The object of this paper is the mediation in museums, information management process and use of information in these organizations. The reflection covers the concepts of information, culture and the interdisciplinary aspects in the Information Science and Museology. The literature research points some connections between the areas, considering the user of information. Preservation, representation and dissemination of information are considered as fundamental processes that links these fields and are keys to understand the use of information by museums.
