Gestão do conhecimento em bibliotecas: o bibliotecário como gestor da informação e de recursos e serviços informacionais

Abstract
The modern paradigm demanded by today's society is to enable the use of information, transformed it into knowledge and value to society. Thus, this study aims to present the Knowledge Management developed in information units and the role the librarian performs in that context. Through literature review on renowned authors Administration literature and analysis of Library Science literature about Knowledge Management in information units, it was found that, in the context of Librarianship, the consolidation of this type of managementwill only be established when information professionals have developed an integrated management, acting in a systemic way to fulfill the mission manager of the information, resources and information services.
