O2score device: analysis of the kinetics of recovery after exercise
Journal Title: Journal of Science and Cycling - Year 2016, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
The O2Score system was recently developed as a mobile device able to measure the quantity of antioxidants in the body. Since the quantity of antioxidants is modified during effort (to provide a defense system against free radicals [1]) it appears that O2Score system could be used to follow and control the recovery of athletes. However, no known study was conducted to test the relevance of O2Score system.

The effect of wheel diameter on vertical and horizontal mountain bike position
Background: Mountain bike wheel dimensions have evolved to larger diameters in recent years. While numerous claims can be found for performance advantages of larger diameter wheels, systematic comparisons of mechanical c...
Effects of recovery using contrast water therapy or compression stockings on subsequent 5-min cycling performance
Many researchers have investigated the effectiveness of contrast water therapy (CWT) or compression stockings (CS) during recovery, using subsequent performance as the principal outcome measure. However, data in the lite...
An optimal control approach to the high intensity interval training design
Prediction of the acute response induced by various training protocols is of great importance when looking for a systematic approach in designing high intensity training (HIT) sessions. The prediction of some of the inde...
Effects of different training protocols on the heart rate variability of trained cyclists
Background: Studies have shown that measures of HRV can be useful for monitoring the training load in cycling. However, most of these studies are observational and have not assessed the impact of cumulative days of train...
Preliminary results: A comparison of specific imu-based calibrations for cycling vs. conventional methods.
Recent technological advances in MEMS allow considering the biomechanical evaluation of cyclists outside the laboratory (road, track cycling, etc). Indeed, optoelectronical motion capture in cycling is commonely used in...
