Abstract
Дослідження присвячено визначенню специфіки образу жінки-стоїка в австралійській художній прозі в лінгвоко- гнітивному висвітленні, встановленню лінгвокогнітивних механізмів, задіяних у формуванні зазначеного образу. Основою дослідження слугує розроблена в когнітивній поетиці на основі положень когнітивної лінгвістики теорія словесного поети- чного образу.
