Abstract

occlusal splint therapy has been used for several years for the identification and treatment of assorted disorders of the masticatory system. It is used in oral para function, unstable occlusion, stress connected pain symptoms, occlusal interferences, and in intensive restorative treatment. This article will familiarize the reader with basic splint styles and justify a way to use these effectively.
