Abstract
The article is dedicated to the analysis of current state of the criminal procedure legislation in the field of conclusion and enforcement of the settlement agreement and reversal and appeal of a decision based on the settlement agreement. The article contains recommendations about the need to reform the law institute of settlement agreement. The article contains the particular ways of improvement of Ukrainian criminal procedure legislation in part of settlement agreement based on the analysis of the theory and practice of the criminal procedure. These recommendations are about improvement of the sphere of application of the settlement agreement and the scope of persons who can conclude a settlement agreement. The authors emphasize expediency of making the legislative changes concerning the non-compliance with the terms of the settlement agreement.
