On improvement of convergence of the numerical solution of the contact problem for an elastic heavy cylinder of finite length

Abstract
In the paper, based on the solutions of an infinite system of non-regular linear algebraic equations, an approach is found that allows to reduce essentially the number of shortened equations through which solutions the stresses and displacements are calculated as well as to determine the behavior of the stresses when approaching to the angular point.
