On Linear Regression and Correlation Coefficient for Breast Cancer in Al-Sader Medical City in 2005-2009
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
The main propose of this study is to evaluate the Breast Cancer in Al-Sader Medical City in AL-Najaf in Iraq for the period 2005-2009 for two variables age and Tumors. The data is analyzed using two methods regression and correlation analysis. Regression methods to get the mathematical model and the effect between two variables that are age and Tumor. Correlation methods to explain the relationship between these variables. SSPS program V. 17.0 was used throughout this study to analyze the data and to generate the various Tables. From the results in the period 2005-2009, we find no relationship between age and tumor level. Regression Models present the age effect on tumor level is very week. So there is no significant effect between age and tumor. Finally, from all regression lines, there is a negative relationship between Y (Tumor) and X (Age). Correlation Coefficients for Age and Tumor level in 2005 shows that a significant correlation coefficients between age and tumor. But in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, there are no significant correlation coefficients between age and tumor.
