On the Conditional Probabilities in PRA
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2016, Vol 8, Issue 3
Abstract
Mathematical modeling of existing hazards and risks in a system such as aviation starts from identifying and evaluating significant numerical parameters by different procedures. The chosen criteria and the expression of the optimized model for risk analysis process will show the efficiency of the modality to evaluate risk and continuous management. An important result achieved will be to ensure compliance with the quality requirements and levels of safety. Quantitative description of risk, knowing the particularities of the system, the study of interdependencies, restrictions and limitations, create a complete picture of the analyzed elements. The mathematical model thus defined can be complex, difficult to analyze, but the results will present an accurate picture of the addressed problem, removing information and data that are insignificant or redundant.

Nanostructured zirconia layers as thermal barrier coatings
The coatings obtained by thermal spray are used both as antioxidant and connection materials (e.g. MCrAlY type alloys) as well as thermal barrier coatings (e.g. partially stabilized zirconia oxide with yttria oxide). Thi...
Liquid rocket engine performance assessment in the context of small launcher optimisation
The paper presents a fast mathematical model that can be used to quickly asses the propulsive characteristics of liquid propelled rocket engines. The main propulsive parameters are computed using combustion surfaces obta...
Investigation of novel propulsion systems – the exoskeletal engine concept. Part II
The exoskeletal engine represents a relatively new concept in the world of propulsion systems. It is a drum-rotor engine concept in which conventionally heavy shafts and discs are eliminated and replaced by rotating casi...
An impact study of a capsule with a rigid wall using the SPH approach
Impact problems have always been of interest in the Aerospace industry because events such as “bird-strikes” occur quite often and necessary studies must be performed to observe the behavior of structures during the impa...
A computational methodology for a micro launcher engine test bench using a combined linear static and dynamic in frequency response analysis
This article aims to provide a quick methodology to determine the critical values of the forces, displacements and stress function of frequency, under a combined linear static (101 Solution - Linear Static) and dynamic l...
