On the crossings number of a hyperplane by a stable random process
Journal Title: Карпатські математичні публікації - Year 2018, Vol 10, Issue 2
Abstract
The numbers of crossings of a hyperplane by discrete approximations for trajectories of an α-stable random process (with 1<α<2) and some processes related to it are investigated. We consider an α-stable process is killed with some intensity on the hyperplane and a pseudo-process that is formed from the α-stable process using its perturbation by a fractional derivative operator with a multiplier like a delta-function on the hyperplane. In each of these cases, the limit distribution of the crossing number of the hyperplane by some discret approximation of the process is related to the distribution of its local time on this hyperplane. Integral equations for characteristic functions of these distributions are constructed. Unique bounded solutions of these equations can be constructed by the method of successive approximations.

Some properties of shift operators on algebras generated by ∗ -polynomials
A ∗-polynomial is a function on a complex Banach space X, which is a sum of so-called (p,q)-polynomials.In turn, for non-negative integers p and q, a (p,q)-polynomial is a function on X, which is the restrictionto the di...
A new criterion for testing hypothesis about the covariance function of the homogeneous and isotropic random field
In this paper, we consider a continuous in mean square homogeneous and isotropic Gaussian random field. A criterion for testing hypotheses about the covariance function of such field using estimates for its norm in the s...
On the dimension of vertex labeling of k-uniform dcsl of k-uniform caterpillar
A distance compatible set labeling (dcsl) of a connected graph $G$ is an injective set assignment $f : V(G) \rightarrow 2^{X},$ $X$ being a nonempty ground set, such that the corresponding induced function $f^{\oplus} :E...
Poincare series for the algebras of joint invariants and covariants of n quadratic forms
We consider one of the fundamental objects of classical invariant theory, namely the Poincare series for an algebra of invariants of Lie group $SL_2$. The first two terms of the Laurent series expansion of Poincar\'e se...
Advancement on the study of growth analysis of differential polynomial and differential monomial in the light of slowly increasing functions
Study of the growth analysis of entire or meromorphic functions has generally been done through their Nevanlinna's characteristic function in comparison with those of exponential function. But if one is interested to com...
