On the destructive character of post-modernist tendencies in contemporary methods of teaching mathematics.

Abstract
In the last two decades post-modernist tendencies started to be manifest-ed in Russian methods of teaching mathematics. The essence of post-modernism is to ignore meanings, to break the succession of educational ideas, to tear the process of passing scientific knowledge from those who created pre-revolutionary and Soviet methods of mathematics to their followers. The article reveals causes and facts of the crisis in Russian methods of teaching mathematics: the substitution of notions, scholasticism, moral and pedagogical relativity, rejec-tion of traditions and didactic nihilism, and also rejecting mathematics as a self-sufficient educa-tional subject.
