On the development of the doctrine of civil law principles

Abstract
For a truthful understanding of the doctrine of the principles of modern civil law, the origins of this category are investigated. Development of scientific thought about the civil law principles in the period of Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance is considered. Such categories of Roman private law as justice and honesty are analysed.
