ONE OF THE CHILDREN'S NEWSPAPER IN THE OTTOMAN TURKISH “HUR COCUK”

Abstract
Hur Cocuk was a scientific, literary, sanitary, illustrated newspaper published in 1918 in Istanbul on a weekly basis. Its founders were Mehmed Asaf, Huseyin and Kasim. Its responsible director was Mehmed Asaf and writer was Avanzade Mehmet Suleyman. Copies of newspaper released on Thursdays were sold from five cents. The most striking aspect of Hur Cocuk's form is that the newspaper's masthead was written in French with Latin letters, as well as in Arabic letters. There were many different writings on a variety of topics in Hur Cocuk, such as training with colors, different nations health-related precautions, memory effect of writing, endure hunger, what can be done after insect bites, age and gender, talking plants, night sleep and how to be rich. The newspaper, which had been published three issues for children, would taken the name of Malûmat from the next issue and began to appeal to adults. In the article, Hur Cocuk was introduced and its full text was transferred to the Latin alphabet and was presented to the readers' attention.
