Abstract

InrecentyearstheSouthAsianregionhasemergedasthefastestgrowingregionintheworld.However,intraregionaltradehaslaggedbehindtheregion'sdeepeningengagementinglobaltradewiththeeffectsofgeopoliticsandalegacyofmistrustleavingamarkonintegrationefforts.ThecurrentstudyfocusesonSAARCeconomiestoexaminetheimpactoftradeagreementsonthebasisofdataforfifteenyearsi.e.from2000to2015.Theemphasisisonunderstandingthelevelofintraregionaltrade,issues,andchallengesoftheregionandinconclusion,policymeasureshavebeen suggestedtoimprovetheintegrationoftheregion.
