Opinions of School Administrators on Multicultural Education Attitudes and Democratic Attitudes: A Mixed Method Study

Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to determine the opinions of school administrators working in primary education about multicultural education in primary education. Mixed method was used in the research. The study group consists of 100 school administrators working in primary education. Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS), Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation, Independent T Test, Anova, Spearman Brown Correlation Coefficient were used in the analysis of quantitative data in the study. Frequency and content analysis techniques were used in the analysis of qualitative data. It has been determined that school administrators' multicultural attitudes have a significant difference according to gender, school type, task in school, branch variables. According to the results of the qualitative analysis, it was determined that school administrators' opinions on multicultural education attitudes in general are positive and high. It has been determined that the democratic attitudes of school administrators have a meaningful difference from the school type. It has been determined that school administrators have a positive and moderate (0.57) relationship between multicultural education attitudes and democratic attitudes.
